Andrea Carroll (she/they) is an experienced multi-instrumentalist thriving on collaboration and creativity! Bass guitar? Nails it. Strings? She’s weaving pure magic. Vocals? She hits those high notes like a boss. Vibes? The uplifting connection of creating music with others is her heart’s happy place and soul’s favorite language.
With over 20 years in the groove, she has performed & recorded with award-winning artists like Crystal Gayle, Brenda Lee, Kirk Franklin & TobyMac, Lorrie Morgan, Kevin Sharp, Joanie Leeds, The Protomen, Bruce Hughes (Poi Dog Pondering, etc), Strawbitty Yops, Robsie, Caleb de Casper, Oh Antonio & His Imaginary Friends, Parker Woodland, and many more including The Hazy Shades! She’s performed on stages from Carnegie Hall to Austin City Limits Music Festival and has appeared on programs like Good Day Austin, Tennessee Crossroads, The Stellar Awards, and holiday programs on PBS.
Besides jamming out on stage, Andrea’s got nearly two decades under her belt teaching music lessons and coaching bands. She even became a Senior Program Director at a nonprofit, crafting epic workshops and camps to empower and amplify girls and non-binary youth through the power of music! Austin’s her turf via Nashville, and beyond the beats, you can catch her championing artists in her local scene, diving into activism & community projects, and shooting pool with pals.
