The Hazy Shades are the culmination of a dream that started when Brittany Shane was 11 years old. She entered a talent contest in her elementary school and lip-synced/played “Walk Like An Egyptian” and she hasn’t looked back. In the early 2000’s, Brittany purchased a Rickenbacker 350SH Susanna Hoffs Signature electric guitar and in 2022, she decided to form this tribute band to The Bangles.
Joined by Jen Trogdon (Lead Guitar/Vocals), Emily McCullough (Keyboard/Vocals), and Genna Faia(Drums), The Hazy Shades developed a great setlist of all the favorites and are finding a following of Bangles fans everywhere. As the band continues to develop, they are adding other songs from women of the 90s including The Go-Gos, Kim Wilde, Cyndi Lauper, Debbie Gibson and more.
Based in Austin/Central Texas area, The Hazy Shades have a great 1980s vibe and it is obvious to see how much fun they have when watching them play live. The band is happy to play shows in clubs, bars, restaurants, weddings, Minor League ballparks, party boats, schools, holiday celebrations, parades, Bar Mitzvahs, corporate events, shopping center grand openings, marathons, and anywhere they can find the space!
